Winona-Ryder

Winona Ryder is the professionally-known name given to Winona Laura Hoowitz who was born in Winona Minnesota. Her parents named their daughter the city she grew up in after her birthplace. Her father Michel Horowitz, and mother Cynthia Palmer are authors and editors. Ryder is a self-described Jewish, is descended from Ryder's Jewish father. Uria is Ryder's younger brother. She was nominated for two Academy Awards one for her performance in The Age of Innocence (1993).
